Kevin Gee

Head Coach

Head Coach Kevin Gee returns for his second season behind the bench at LTU. After a disappointing 13-17 season, Coach Gee has high hopes for his 07-08 campaign featuring a large group of returning core players and a good mix of new recruits. Entering his 11th season, Coach Gee spent the ealry part of his coaching career at Southgate Anderson High School, before coaching in the Dearborn Hockey Association for three seasons at the bantam and midget aa level. in 2001 he moved the CEHL as an assistant coach with the Brownstown Bombers Jr A, and spent 5 successful seasons behind the bench for the Detroit Victory Honda Midget Major team, where his teams picked up two state championships, three finals apprearances and moved or 50 players to the Jr A level and division 1 college. Chris Summers, Phoenix Coyotes 1st rd pick, 2006, Jeff Zatkoff, LA Kings 3rd rd pick, 2006, and Ian Cole, St Louis Blues 1st rd pick, 2007, a!
ll played for coach Gee from 2004-2006. Coach Gee resides in Lincoln Park, MI with his fiancee Kristy and sons Cameron, 7 and Cullen, 4. He is employed by the Victory Automotive Group as a sales rep in the wholesale parts division. Coach Gee enjoys traveling, gardening, golf and spending time with his family when not at the rink.

2007-2008 Season Preview--> Per coach Gee, "I fully plan on traveling to Rochester in March for the National Championship. Anything less will be a disappointment. It is time for the LTU hockey program to win in consistent fashion, and we will make sure that all the bases are covered when it comes to the 07-08 season. Our guideline for this season is preparation, and everything we’ve done this off-season, and what will be done in practice will be to reach our end goal, a spot for Nationals. I expect big things from new captain Andrew Aulerich, who's all around play and leadership have earned him the captain's C.  He already has the team's respect, from the way he plays and the way he carries himself off the ice. Also, we will have very solid goaltending with Tommy Beetham and new recruit Matt Beck pushing each other for starts."

John Reiss

Assistant Coach

Assistant Coach John Reiss joins the Blue Devil Staff after 25 seasons of coaching at various levels. Prior to spending time as an Assistant Coach at the varsity level for both Wyandotte Roosevelt and Grosse Ile High Schools, John has been behind the bench at every age and skill level from mites to midgets, A, AA, and AAA levels. John spent several seasons in the mid to late 90's as Goaltending Coach with the Jr A Dearborn Heights Nationals and the Jr B Motor City Chiefs under successful Head Coaches Jon Heady and Rick Mullen, where several of his players have moved on to Division 1 colleges and minor pro leagues. In addition to coaching minor hockey, John has been involved with teaching youth hunters safety classes and firearms safety classes for both the Detroit News and  Henry Ford Community College. John retired in 2000 after 35 years with Ford motor Co. as a machine repairman and vibration analyst. Coach Reiss enjoys hunting, camping, golf, gardening and woodworking in his spare time.

2007-2008 Season Preview--> Per coach Reiss, "I am truly looking forward to the upcoming season with the Blue Devils. The players I've seen so far are very talented and I believe this will be a successful season for LTU."

Scott Brewer

Associate Coach

Scott Brewer joins the Coaching Staff this year after following Blue Devil Hockey for the last two seasons.  Scott has had a love for the game since his playing days began in the early 70's.  Scott was involved with youth hockey in Lansing in the early 90's, and began coaching at the Pee Wee and Bantam levels in Ann Arbor for both House and Travel Teams.  His most recent coaching was at Hartland High School in the Kensington Valley Conference as an Assistant for two years ending in 2004.

Scott is also one of the founders of the LTU Hockey Booster Club and is involved in every aspect of supporting the players and the Team.  Scott is married to Teri, and they have two children, Stacey French married to Marcus French, and Christopher, who is a senior and a Hockey Player at LTU.  The Brewers reside in Fenton Michigan.  Scott is the Director of Global Show Vehicles for General Motors and Teri is a Teacher for Howell Schools.

2007-2008 Season Preview--> Per coach Brewer, "I like what I see this year.  We are strong again in the net, and we have added Team speed. We have also added a recruiting class that will show dividends down the road.   I see improvement in the returning players and we have a deeper team.  I also sense much more cohesiveness than last year.  The boys have been working hard improve their skills and represent LTU.  This year I have much higher expectations than last years results.  If this team continues to work hard all year with focus, they will surprise a lot of people.  We are ready to take it to the next level with the proper discipline and focus.   This a fine bunch of young men who look at playing Hockey at LTU as a privilege, their icing on the cake, and that's the way it should be."

Scott Trudeau

General Manager

I am a proud graduate of Central Michigan University, “Fire up Chips.”  I completed my undergraduate work in Sports Studies, Business Administration, and Coaching, followed by a graduate degree in Sports Administration.  Sports have always been a very big part of my life.  I have played everything and anything.  While in College I participated in intramural sports, as well as a barrage of other sports activities, including flag football, basketball, softball, floor hockey, and golf.  I was lucky enough to have participated in three national tournaments in flag football and one in basketball, while attending college.  I still play in leagues for basketball, softball, and golf when I’m not enjoying time fishing or relaxing on the lake.

I joined the staff of Lawrence Tech in January 2002 as the Assistant Director of Student Recreation.  My responsibility is to oversee all intramural, extramural, club sports, fitness, facility, and management of the Student Recreation Department.  Prior to joining LTU, I worked in Sports Marketing and Advertising as an Assistant Manager.  I also spent some time as a substitute teacher for junior high school students.  I received two honored awards while working at LTU, Staff Member of the Month and the Marburger Administrator of the Year.  Through hard work, a great attitude, and great colleagues, I hope to keep improving Student Recreation at Lawrence Tech for years to come

Athletics, fitness, and recreation are a great way to interact with fellow students.  The experience I gained from getting involved outside the class is why I enjoy working in the field.  I want everyone to experience the most of college life while getting a great education.  Students will remember things they did outside of the classroom and the people they interacted with more than the tests they took during college.
