Mission Statement

Mission

Our mission is to provide the players with an environment that supports a fair and competitive atmosphere encompassing sportsmanship, integrity, dedication, and commitment as a foundation for growth, both as a student athlete and an outstanding member of our program and community.  The LTU Blue Devils provides opportunities to our players to advance to higher levels of hockey and education.  We accomplish this through planning and proactive activities geared towards realistic goals and accomplishments from each player.  The LTU Blue Devils are committed to providing an environment that supports and sustains team development as well as personal growth at the highest level. We will constantly look for ways to improve our program so that we can continuously offer the best ACHA Division III hockey experience possible.

Vision

In that the game of hockey is a team sport that provides a means for bringing people together in a healthy atmosphere of competition, the vision of the LTU Blue Devils Hockey Team shall be:

• To promote hockey as a means of providing an enjoyable and rewarding learning experience for players and participants
• To promote and develop player skills and abilities
• To promote and develop sportsmanship, fair play, pride and achievement through involvement
• To promote an environment where each player has equal opportunity to participate and develop
• To recognize and address the needs of player development for both recreational and competitive purposes
• To promote and develop players towards being responsible adults that our community can be proud to have as ambassadors
  

Values

By embracing the following values we can fulfill both our mission and vision. We acknowledge that all are interdependent and of equal importance and that we must strive to strike a balance between them, always keeping in mind that we are, first and foremost, a professional hockey organization representing the highest level of hockey played in our province.

Trust & Respect

The foundational values. By continuously developing trust for each other and for all of our stakeholders and by demonstrating respect for the uniqueness of every individual, we can build a confident, creative, disciplined team possessing a high degree of initiative.

Integrity, Fairness, and Commitment To Excel

We shall act with fairness and integrity in everything we do. In addition, we do not accept halfhearted efforts, but rather insist upon personal responsibility, accountability, and a commitment to excel from each of our team members.

Team Work

There is nothing we can do as individuals that we cannot do better as a team. Accordingly, we are dedicated to a singleness of purpose and insist upon open communication and mutual support for one another in everything we do. We further acknowledge the mutual importance of both our on and off ice teams, and that the extent to which we work together and appreciate our respective contributions will ultimately determine our level of success.
